Ressurection
Well, after purusing t'interwebs, I went for a new motor for my Dyson. They weren't as expensive as I thought and there's lots of stuff on you tube and shit on how to fit one. So now I have a working vacuum cleaner again.
This week I are listening to The Final Frontier, Iron Maiden's new album. Only listened to it once and it has not stuck me as anything special, but many albums haven't on the first listen. Still, at least it's not produced by Steve Harris. Great bassist and song writer, but I find all the albums he produced were badly mixed.

It's Dead
Well finally, after a few days (alright, weeks) of noisy and smelly vacuuming, my Dyson has died.
After setting the smoke alarm off with it today, I decided to investigate hoping it was the clutch. After evisceration, I found one of the bearings has gone on the motor and the bit under the exhaust filter was full of bits of plastic.
So what now? Do I get a new one, another used one or try freecycle for one?

The patient on the operating table.

Now I'm dead.
The rest of my posts will be post mortal.
The picture on the header is of possums. Look cute don't they. I looked up some other pictures of them the other day, they've got lots of fucking pointy teeth on those cute heads. Looks can be deceptive.

I'm not dead
I'm actually planning on living forever, but I might die in the process. So don't blame me.
Is it just me, or do all the TV comapanies love the love the thought of having an election, just so they can put on hours of political coverage which helps to fill up the desperately thin schedules with out them actually having to spend money on decent dramas or documentaries.
Mostly this week I arse listening to Family Jewels by Marina and the Diamonds, Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful? by Paloma Faith and Amy MacDonald's new one, can't remember the title at the mo. and there's a big fat sausage of a cat on my lap so I can't find out. OK. Stop hassling me.
Yes I know its not exactly Speed Metal but until the new Motorhead Album comes out.....

Hell has frozen
Well I finally managed to get my fat ass off the couch today and go out on my bike, and boy aren't my legs letting me know about it.
No huge distances acheived, about 38 miles but still nearly double what I've managed so far this year.
Makes up for my plans to cycle to work on Friday that failed miserably. Never was an early morning person.
New feature this week is my music listening habits.
Mostly this week I are been listening to The Kindred by Pariah, In The Big Ending by The Clan Destined and In The All Together by Skyclad.
Oh and my fucking wireless connection has gone down again. Technology blows goats.

Freezer Roulette
Tonight I have invented a new game. Rummage around in the freezer, pick a container with some long since forgotten contents, defrost and heat and eat for tea.
Could be soup, could be stew, might be gravy. Yum.

Dross
Bloody hell, it's the weekend again.
Nothing to say so here's a photo I took today.

Well, Drosera actually, or Sundew, a tiny carniverous plant.
Canon Eos 1000D
Tamron 100mm Macro
65mm extension tube
F32 @ 1/3 sec (ish)
Not sure why the quality is so bad on this though. Click the picture for a better view. I don't get all this HTML thingy.

So Den
Another weekend whooshes past and it's back to work again.
How come I'm starting to get guilty feelings for being in the house all weekend, even though I've got decorating to do. I blame Mrs Pingu.
I'm not sure what I hate most at the moment, decorating or work.
Went to see Jethro Tull on Sunday which was spoiled by some twat off his box, or drunk, or both, shouting and clapping out of time and generally being annoying. Seems to be getting to be a regular occurance these days.
And to top it all there was a big crack in my windscreen when I left home too, typical with the MOT just around the corner.
Pooters. There's another sore point. My desktop Hard Drive has just thrown a wobbly and lost all my mp3s and now my laptop seems to be working in super slow mode too.
Grrr frrnt bassa!
